1834 1C Large 8, Large Stars, Large Letters, N-6, R.3, Bold “Triple Profile”. PCGS AU50. Noyes Die State C/D. Glossy and sharply struck. Obverse has usual die cracks through the date and all 13 stars. Sharply tripled profile which is most predominant on Miss Liberties lips. A very difficult variety to find in this grade. The surfaces are a pleasing light brown with splashes of deep olive and steel-brown woodgrain surfaces on the reverse. Comes with a great provenance, just waiting to be added to its next great cabinet.
